Proposal for cross-disciplinary interaction on the Modern Museum
Art History Database

Purpose
Our proposal is to visualize cross-disciplinary relation between various Art activities and historical development of Science, Technology, Economy and Society. I means “Art” including all interactive activities between "persons who express" and “persons who appreciate”. So broad sense Art is including not only painting and sculpture (narrow sense Art), but also Architecture, Music, Dance, Literature. Especially, painting, sculpture and architecture is communicate not by language but by visual, so more useful means for cross disciplinary communication.
Outline
In considering with visual environment of SL, or display of textures on panels is easy way in resource limitation, WeI want to select Paintings, Sculptures, Architectures, Music and Novels, mainly focused on since Renaissance to present age. In these period, societies are rapidly changing, and Art activities are also rapidly grown up among common people. I think panels are grouping on display floors by Style/ Mode, Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, Impressionism, Cubism, Modernism, Postmodern, etc., and Viewpoints: relation with religion, freedom from religion, relation with industrial revolution, democracy development, etc. (please add other viewpoints) Floors are arranged in 3D space so that floor's altitude increases with the time goes to past. So participants of this project can extend to far past and other human activities as far as the region’s resources allow. The Museum is designed as open and functioning so that visitors can overview whole arrangement from past to present.
